A catch-all mailbox is one that captures all the email messages sent to nonexistent addresses. For instance, if your address is info@domain.com, but someone mistypes it and sends an email message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have set up. Only one single mailbox per domain can have this feature enabled and thus you’ll never miss messages because the other party has an out-of-date address or has made a typo. The negative aspect of setting up a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving a lot of spam email messages, but this problem can be rectified using anti-spam filtering software. It’s also important to bear in mind that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all feature cannot forward inbound emails to a third-party address.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

In case you host a domain name on our cloud hosting platform and you have a cloud hosting account, you will be able to enable the catch-all functionality for any mailbox that you create under the domain name. The Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section offers quite a lot of features, but it is very simple to use, so setting up a catch-all mailbox takes only one single click of the mouse. All the email addresses that you’ve set up will be enumerated in this section alphabetically and you’ll only need to click the "Catch-all" button pertaining to the respective email address. Our system will alert you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain name or if the one that you would like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either disable the latter feature or choose some other mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all feature is just as simple and requires one more mouse click on the very same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

You will be able to set up a catch-all email address with no more than a click in case you’ve got a Linux semi-dedicated hosting with us and your emails are handled by our cloud hosting platform. All the mailboxes that you set up using any domain hosted in your semi-dedicated hosting account will be listed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel. Each of them will have a tiny "Catch-all" icon on its right-hand side, so all it will take to enable this feature will be to click on that icon. In the same way you’ll be able to remove the feature, in case you no longer need it. Our system will let you know in case you are attempting to enable a second catch-all address for a given domain or in case there is activated email forwarding, but it’ll never disable or change anything automatically and without your permission.
